Volunteer Opportunities
Survey Volunteers:
Help Daily Bread conduct one-on-one interviews in food banks across the GTA. The information gathered is critical in helping Daily Bread make the case for eliminating the need for food banks. The survey continues until mid-April. Shifts are between 2 and 3 hours. Survey volunteers need to be 17 years old. Knowledge of a second language is valued. Contact: research@dailybread.ca
Advocacy Volunteers:
Help food bank clients by meeting one-on-one with people who need extra help with housing, job searches, and income related issues to provide referrals to services available at member agencies and other organizations. Daily Bread is seeking volunteers to work in food banks run by member agencies to help people access funds and programs that will help them.
Administration, Data Entry & General Office Help:
Help Daily Bread operate smoothly by assisting with administrative, computer and office work in different departments. This help could include correspondence with Member Agencies, helping produce receipts for donors or entering data from food collection activities. It's a chance to sharpen your telephone and organizational skills and your computer literacy - especially Word and Excel.
